Ticket sales for HUGE events like this could be processed on the pitch. The club could very easily set up a system like you have at the post office where you collect a token on your way into the stadium. Your token will indicate a number. The number will be the number you need to look for when it is your turn to go on the pitch to collect your ticket. eg A234 - go to sales point A when the number 234 flashes up above sales point A. K235 - go to sales point K when the number 235 flashes up above sales point K. The pitch would be wide enough for perhaps 20 ticket sales points - thus speeding up the sales process. Fans would have the additional benefit of being able to sit in the Kop/Tilton if they have to wait a while. |

Cheers! Update they have told fans with stubs to move up que and pass those with no stubs. Those with stubs are now in car park, those with no stubs are now queing behind gate which is apparentley closed. About 100 bluenoses queing and i beilieve they have been told tickets may be sold if any left. Personal come out of ticket office counting blues in que with stubs and have told them they will get a ticket. A kind bluenose gave my son a spare stub..thats what we are about so thanks to him from me. Apparentley those in que in car park will get tickets within the hour and £38 tickets left. Hope those queing outside and have Kept right on get a ticket also..good luck to them i say. kro brummie65 |

We don't necessarily need a bigger ticket office - we've got two and they only opened one! Now if they're saying it's because there didn't have enough staff that's ridiculous - theres x million people on the dole ffs. I was one of those queuing at Garrison Lane from the early hours and we weren't happy when they said it wasn't opening. So then the club put themselves into a no-win situation - either all the Garrison Lane queue get stuck on the end of the main queue (not fair to the Garrison Lane queue) or they merge them in with the main queue (not fair on the main queue). In the end I think they did the best they could in the circumstances by serving the main queue from 6 windows and the Garrison Lane queue from 1 window. BUT .... If they had a dedicated window for the Garrison Lane queue why didn't they just open the Garrison Lane TO ???? |

I was also part of the Garrison Lane queue. I saw how big the main queue was when I arrived at 6:30 AM so I thought I'd try the small ticket office. I think the club knew that they would have a situation on thier hands if they told us all to join the main queue so they did the best thing IMO. They used 1 window for us and all 6 others for the main lot. I got served at 5 PM and I got a free tour of the ground ;) Even though my mates car got towed away I still had some laughs with the people around me. |

The thing to have avoided the whole queue fiasco was to have the tickets available online for people with a booking history. The system needs to know who is entitled to what. Then the queues would have been half as long. |
